Capsule Wardrobe π· 3: Before & After 2019 - 2021
The term "Capsule Wardrobe" indeed has an extremely appealing sound to it.
Capsule means tiny or compact, and with all of the clothes we have, how do we ever reach such a level?
Before we begin the process, I wanted us to be reassured that, it's not a mandatory project. If you have plenty of space and love various types of clothes, and have no problem maintaining all articles, then by all means keep as is.
If you're in need of downsizing, moving, or need to do it in the future due to lifestyle changes (such as change of occupation or retirement), then continue reading for guidance.
I started capsule wardrobe, as a result of the rising trend of minimalism and Marie Kondo's tidy up Netflix series a few years ago. I was mesmerized by the concept of small selection of wardrobe mainly because of the pleasant visual effect, and how easy outfits can be created.
The concept was literally life changing, because I was never good at picking outfits, always leaving the choice of what to wear for work until 5min before I'd head out for work. It was a nightmare if all I had were wrinkled shirts and with no time to iron. I wasn't good at keeping clothes neat.
Here are the actual before (2019) and after (2021) of my Spring & Summer and Fall & Winter wardrobes.
