When it comes to cleaning, I think we all fall into one of these groups: Passionate about it, or, hate it.

I, for sure, belonged to the latter group.

What fun can any person get out of cleaning, if the area gets ruined again.

I hear you loud and clear.

For one thing, ruining can happen easily, because we may have too many things at home, so maybe reducing unnecessity can be a solution too.

I was never passionate about cleaning, nor thought it was important before I got married, which I guess is no surprise as it wasn't really my main job/priority in terms of my social responsibilities.

It wasn't until I had my 2nd child (2019), that cleaning had changed to an enlightenment.

I'm a mom, a full time employee, and oh my god 2020 hit, suddenly we all had to work and school from home, so I needed a strategy to convert my home to provide me the energy and motivation to stay sane and become empowered. (Even if husband is around, the everything always seems to come in attention to the wife/mom, so there's definitely more toll on women than guys).

If you read the first few posts, you'll see that I've mentioned 2019 being my turning point of life, that I decided to take the path of living-current to reduce stress plus strengthening physical abilities for long term health, which together, can lead to a happier life.

Cleaning has gotten easier and more fun, once I've pared down things around home, and I realized that a tidy home is what gives me more focus, so I can work my full time job, and guide though my child with online learning with inner peace.

Here are some of my favorite and practical cleaning tools.

Baby wipes: I have lots of these from my 2nd baby, and they pickup little crumbs/dusts, and clears out surfaces nicely. Also I like the fact that it's unscented.

The "after" is why I grew to love cleaning, it just feels good to look at.

Kids graffiti on walls? No prob!
Baby wipes will do the job.

I basically only let my kids use pencils, crayons and washable markers, so if they happen to draw on the walls or furniture, I'll just give it a quick wipe.
Note that sometime the wipes can't remove completely, maybe 90%, but I'm expecting to repaint the walls and maybe change the furniture when they grow older and no longer draw on the surfaces.
I believe kids deserve their fun, we should be forgiving enough to let their imagination run wild during their prime time, it's part of their growth, I know I was a mischievous one from my parents stories.

For hard to reach areas like this tiny dent on the lid of my trash bin, I combine using the wipe with the help of a chopstick, and follow the order from 1-4, and voila!

Each time I see a cleaned surface or area, I feel a rush of joy and feel accomplished.
It doesn't have to be big projects, little feel-good things can take us a long way.
This is what helps me feel in control of my home.

Stay tuned for more tips!
