Joyful body 🌷 2: A challenge from the future Joyful Body 🌷 Home ° ˖ ✧ ✧ ˖ ° ° ˖ ✧ ✧ ˖ ° Blog Home 🌷 Wardrobe ✧ Homemaking ✧ Body There are tons of ways that the world can make us happy. A new shirt, cooking/eating delicious food, go traveling, etc. But maybe only few would put workout in this list, because it may not be something people usually associate with joy, since it requires dedication and labor, which sounds more like hard work than something that makes us happy. I tried to have an exercise routine during teenage years, but never lasted more than a couple of days. It wasn't until that I'm in my 30s, where I gave birth to my 2nd child, that I thought I had to kick myself in the butt and start working out once and for all, for long term health benefits. Why did I choose to start now, when I'm at the peak of my busiest time of my life? (Full time working mom with the littlest time to myself) I was tired all the time, low stamina even though I was getting decent h...

Homemaking Tips 🌷 2: The Perfect... Homemaking Tips 🌷 Home ° ˖ ✧ ✧ ˖ ° ° ˖ ✧ ✧ ˖ ° Blog Home 🌷 Wardrobe ✧ Homemaking ✧ Body There are thousands of organizing and storage equipment created in the modern days, and yet it's always been one of the biggest challenges to find the perfect one. I've been married with kids for 6 years now, and there's always a corner or area at home I try to figure out how to reorganize. I don't live in a big home, and yet there's constantly something I work on. Anyhow, the point I'm sharing today, is that it takes quite a lot of time, energy and cost to find a perfect storage solution.  Take this corner in the picture for an instance.   Link to open stackable basket storages   Link to Closetmaid organizers Link to mesh drawer organizers Link to artificial ivy The Before picture was what I thought as the "perfect organizing idea" when I purchased the open basket units. However, as time went by, it kind of grew out of contro...

Homemaking Tips 🌷 1: First and foremost

Homemaking Tips  🌷 1: First and foremost Homemaking Tips 🌷 Home ° ˖ ✧ ✧ ˖ ° ° ˖ ✧ ✧ ˖ ° Blog Home 🌷 Wardrobe ✧ Homemaking ✧ Body What does organizing mean to you? It's one of the most common words used when we work on our homes, but it can have quite a few definitions depending who takes on this task.  It can be putting things back to their original spaces, doing rearrangements, sorting out, declutter, cleaning, or all of them combined.  The tip I want to share today, is to keep in mind that surface areas, should be kept free of things. Desk, floor, sink, stove - - these surface areas are meant to be the canvas when we operate certain tasks, and not storage for temporary items. Temporary items are very dangerous to keep on surfaces, because they can pile up before we know it, creating a messy home, that discourages us from doing any organizing or tidying. Messy surfaces are also indications of work in progress. If all of the surfaces have things on them, ...

Joyful body 🌷 1: The beginning

Joyful body 🌷 1: The beginning  Joyful Body 🌷 Home ° ˖ ✧ ✧ ˖ ° ° ˖ ✧ ✧ ˖ ° Blog Home 🌷 Wardrobe ✧ Homemaking ✧ Body My journey of building a joyful (a healthy, feel-good state) body in 2019, after giving birth to my 2nd child.  I had always been active, and when I was little, I also used to do gymnastics.  While I was pregnant, I missed being able to do all of that, so with my 2nd child being my last child (or so I hope, lol), I wanted to test out my limits, and see how close I can get to the kind of physical capabilities I used to have compared to when I was 3. There's a lot of work to making our bodies feel joyful -- eat right, sleep right, exercise, and with a full time work and watching kids, it's not easy.  The two basic approaches I took, were (1) 16/8 intermittent fasting and (2) waking up 1 hr early to do some weight and yoga exercises.  There are tons of merits in these commitments. It's less cooking/cleaning (personally that is, the rest of ...

Capsule Wardrobe 🌷 2: Comfy Capsule Capsule Wardrobe 🌷 Home ° ˖ ✧ ✧ ˖ ° ° ˖ ✧ ✧ ˖ ° Blog Home 🌷 Wardrobe ✧ Homemaking ✧ Body In the previous post, I shared my work capsule wardrobe. In this post, I'm sharing my comfy/workout wardrobe I had around 2018-2019. Link to tight fit long sleeves shirts Link to athletic pants Link to sweat shirts / pants They are very basic in designs and tones, because I just want to feel relaxed and not busy when I'm at home.  Generally there are 2 ways of creating a capsule wardrobe: (1) Creating from scratch and (2) Eliminating the excess. I'll explain more in a future post. In this case, it was a mix of both, there were a few existing pieces in basic tones, I just replaced/purchased the rest to match the concept shown in the picture. The pieces are from different stores/brands and the process of finding the right design, color and texture was really fun. The good thing about these selections is the simplicity of pairing that create decent ...

Capsule Wardrobe 🌷 1: The Introduction

Capsule Wardrobe 🌷 1: The Introduction Capsule Wardrobe 🌷 Home ° ˖ ✧ ✧ ˖ ° ° ˖ ✧ ✧ ˖ ° Blog Home 🌷 Wardrobe ♦ Homemaking ♦ Body  What's a capsule wardrobe?  It's a small / least number of clothes that provides full functionality for a particular purpose / season, while all pieces can be paired with ease, which is a wardrobe concept that saves time and space. The definition of small number can be different depending on each individual, the fun part is to find out what the minimal number is for you through trials and errors. It's common that the selection can gravitate towards a certain set of color ranges and styles (some may choose basic tones only, or pant styles only with no skirts, some may do colorful tops with dark bottoms only, and some may go for dress and leggings only, etc), because those are the the types the individual always ends up wearing. Here is an example of my capsule wardrobe.  This picture is my office work capsule wardrobe I had around 2018-...
