There are tons of ways that the world can make us happy.

A new shirt, cooking/eating delicious food, go traveling, etc.

But maybe only few would put workout in this list, because it may not be something people usually associate with joy, since it requires dedication and labor, which sounds more like hard work than something that makes us happy.

I tried to have an exercise routine during teenage years, but never lasted more than a couple of days.

It wasn't until that I'm in my 30s, where I gave birth to my 2nd child, that I thought I had to kick myself in the butt and start working out once and for all, for long term health benefits.

Why did I choose to start now, when I'm at the peak of my busiest time of my life? (Full time working mom with the littlest time to myself)

I was tired all the time, low stamina even though I was getting decent hours of sleep, more stressed than happy.

That just got me pretty worried to imagine what'll happen at this rate by the time I'm 60 (a rough retirement age, but could be at a later age by the time I actually a retire.)

I used to do gymnastics doing cartwheels and splits, and I wasn't going to get any energetic at this rate, but if I was capable of doing that before, who is to say I wouldn't be able to do those again?

So after giving birth to my last child, I was determined to raise my stamina and energetic level again. I need to do this for myself, and be able to protect my kids in case we encounter a crook, you never know, right?

I'm in my 30s now, and my goal is to stay as energetic as possible, and maybe even do a split, by the time I turn age 60.

On day one of my joyful body making, 3 pushups and 20 leg lifting moves were probably all I was capable of. Just like how we repeatedly learned ABC and phonics back in grade school, the key was repetition, and believing in your envisioned end result.

It's been about a year and half into my workout routine, and I'm glad I started it because it helps generate lots of good chemicals your body and brain, and at this point, it'll be a waste if I stopped, so my only choice to keep going.

Here's one of my training equipment, I'll share other equipment and the moves in future posts.

Stay tuned for more!
