If someone asked you this question - - "What does health mean?", how would you answer?
Before I began the workout and fasting routines, I simply thought the state of being healthy, as not having a cold, headache, or joint pains, until 2019.
When the global scale occurrence happened in 2020, with office work transitioned to work from home style, I used YouTube my radio (probably like most of the people), and out of many topics I listened to, health/diet was one of them, because I was just getting into the health conscious living around that time.
From many of videos I listened to, I learned that the single most important thing (in my opinion,) to keeping good health, is actually growing good bacteria in our digestive system / the gut.
For all this time, I thought my body belonged to me only, but no, there are gazillions of little creatures = bacteria that live inside me, and you, that each does their job, to sustain a big structure, called "me."
There are of course sleep, exercise, and other elements to be combined for different results, but in this and next posts, I want to introduce what I've learned and experienced first handedly from caring for my intestines.
It is said that our gut is actually in charge of releasing certain important hormones (even more than brain), therefore if we grow more good bacteria, then we'll lean towards better health, and of course, vice versa (growing more bad bacteria will do the opposite.)
How do we grow good bacteria and prevent minimize the bad ones?
The answer is not too difficult - - Eat the things that our good bacteria like.
The challenge, is that, not all the tasty food is good for our good bacteria, so while we eat delicious food, we may potentially be growing bad bacteria, which can harm our health.
Come to think about it, the very first organisms on earth, started out just as some intestines and outer skin, and the brain was said to have developed later on, and they still knew that sleep and eating was necessary, so the gut-brain theory is true, to what I believe.
In the upcoming posts, I'll introduce the foods that are said to support good bacteria as well as have anti-aging effect, which I've tested out during 2020 and gotten nice results about.
