In Joyful Body 🌷 8: My paleo meals (part 1), I introduced some of my daily meals, and in this article, I'll share some of the snacks I have during my 8hr eating window (I do 16:8 intermittent fasting daily, but I feel like it's what my body actually needs, so IF is more like my normality rather than a special habit at this point compared to when I used to have 3 meals/day).

Everyday, I look forward to my snack time more than meals (maybe this is applicable to anyone of any age haha).


As I've previously mentioned, the choices of my foods are the basic things, so you won't actually be seeing snack bars, low-fat chips, or trail mix.


Here are what I define as my snacks, because my goal after all, is undoubtedly, to care for my gut, aka the second brain of my body, for anti-aging and longevity.

Tomato because I tend to eat green veggies with meals, so this is to make sure I eat red type too, because different colors of veggies have different nutrition / effects.
It's also good for skin anti-aging.



Simple, an apple a day, keeps the doctor away. 
I go for small/medium size because, bigger apples might contain too much sugar.



Grapes - high in nutritional value.




Plain yogurt (Greek / organic / anything I find interesting when I replenish). Yogurt is great for our tummies, it's like the best skin care for our intestines. I usually top it with honey to add sweetness, as well as additional nutrition. 

These are the sort of the snacks I have just to give you an idea, there can be other ones, basically a different choice of that category (maybe a prune instead of the grapes, or a cucumber instead of the tomato, etc).
I usually eat 3 types of these snacks, based on what I feel each day to make it different and fun.


Bonus:
Despite being health conscious, I'm a human after all and crave for ordinary snacks too, so I allow myself about this portion of regular snacks. 




This could be the favorite part of the day, and I only get to this plate, once I finish all my healthy snacks. 


Although I want to say I have strong willpower to fight my food temptation, but there are times I just want to much on things out of boredom or stress.
