When we search for pictures of capsule wardrobes, we often see simple designs and neutral colors.

It's relatively logical and mathematical.

The simpler the design, the easier the outfit, and also adoptable in more occasions.

While a lot of us strive for this concept, there are actually different levels of suitability, due to factors such as the size of our homes, occupations, how much we love clothes, and how much time we spend in caring for them.

Here's a picture of my office work/everyday capsule wardrobe around 2018.

The most frequently worn items are out on display, and all other/less frequently worn ones are in drawers at the bottom of this closet (cropped out of picture), coats are either hung by the entrance or tucked away in vacuum sealed bags off season.

In this post, we'll take a look at different levels of suitability C.W. (capsule wardrobe abbreviated).

Each ★ means the easiness/suitability, the fewer ★ the more difficulty, and the more ★ the easier to achieve.

✓ I have plenty of wardrobe/closet space.
✓ I prefer having lots of clothes in different styles.
✓ I like taking the time and labor in caring for all of my clothes.
✓ My lifestyle/environment/occupation requires me to have a wide range of clothes.
✓ I find having a capsule wardrobe more confusing/stressful than being able to choose from dozens/hundreds of choices.
★☆☆☆☆☆ C.W. is is relatively difficult, instead embrace the big space and tons of your choices!

★★★★☆ C.W. is highly recommended, as you you have limited amount of space/management time, and clothes aren't necessarily the top priority in life.
