Good day friend!

In parts 1 through 10, I introduced that I started Paleo diet 16/8 intermittent fasting for sustainable health and also adopted/created my own workout routines to best boost the combined results.

Highlight reads:

Body 🌷 5: How 16/8 intermittent fasting works

We tend to underestimate it, but regardless of age, diet, fasting or not, exercising is the most effective method to increase physical strength, happiness, and it's rejuvenating.

When we think about workout, we may picture lifting weights, getting 4 or 6 packs, signing up for gym, needing special equipment, or something that can only be done when we have enough/extra time.

There's no need to go that strict, we just need a radius of about our height, right inside our home. That's where my workout area has been since I started working out routinely 2 years ago.

To explain a bit more of my background, I'm a full time working mom of 2 little boys, and biggest reason I'm was able to find the time and space to do exercises, despite the  daily tight schedules is thanks to Marie Kondo's Netflix show - the magic of tidying up, which enlightened me to switch to a live-current lifestyle, to mainly keep/work with things/tasks in the household that support our current lives, and hold little to no extra/just-in-case items.

This helped significantly in reducing upkeeping/management time, and freed up a lot of spaces in our home, allowing me to allocate time in investing in my long term health goals, which is my current biggest passion.

Here's the change in 1 year.

In the previous post, I showed some shaping moves using weights.

Body 🌷 11: Shaping moves (part 1)

In this one, I'll be sharing my stretch moves.

Rectus Femoris Stretch

Stretches your back as well as front side of the ankles.

Stand forward bend

Strengthens back and develops flexibility of back leg muscles.
This is good in case you trip on something, you'll be able to recover yourself before you fall.

The tree pose

This is harder than it looks in the beginning, you'll be able to tell if you've developed enough balance/core muscle.

Bending toe touch

This one requires a lot of balance too, the proper way is for the hand to go behind the foot.

With the help of healthy eating, IF and exercises, my BMI dropped from 22 to 19 in a year.
The weight loss was more like a nice bonus to have, for doing my body good things.
Not only did I see physical changes, my problem solving skills and attitude about life all improved simultaneously.

I can definitely conclude that, exercising shouldn't be considered as a special activity but instead adopted as a routine, just like brushing teeth, changing clothes, because eating is like inhaling, and only by exercising, are we exhaling.

Without exercises, our everyday is actually incomplete.

When you're ready to adopt exercises into your life, start with the moves and amount of time you're most comfortable with, no need aim high, but aim for long term health and happiness🌷
